If you are an administrator and you want to lock something
from other multiple accounts set up in Windows 7, then in this post I’m
describing the method that “How to lock a folder on Windows 7?”
- Right click on the folder you want to hide.
- Select Properties.
- Now choose the Security Tab.
- You’ll see a line written as “To Change Permissions, click Edit.” Click
on Edit Button. (As shown in below).
- A new window will open. Now, under “Group and user names:” choose the accounts you want to lock your folder from.
- Now, under
“Permissions of SYSTEM” check the Deny check-box next to Modify. All other check-boxes will be ticked automatically. Click OK.
- A “Window
Security” window will appear. Click Yes
then OK again.
Now your folder is locked for all
other specific users you selected before. If they try to access your locked
folder, then it will ask the administrate Password.
