Taking Screen Shots on Windows is a very easy and simple task.
In this Post, I’m describing the ways to take screen shots on Windows.
- Press Print
Screen button (Written as PrtScn or
PrtSc). You can find this button on the top right of your keyboard.
When you press this button its stores the screen shot in the Windows Clipboard (One Image at a time). Now simply Paste the image in any program like MS Paint, MS Word etc. by clicking on Paste Button from Edit option or by pressing Ctrl+V. - If you want to take the screen shot of only one
Active Window then press the buttons Alt+PrtScn.
Similarly the screen shot is stored in the Windows Clipboard and you can paste
it in any desired program.
Note: In Laptop Keyboard, the Print Screen button may be combined with any other. In such a case you may have to press the Function key to access it. - Snipping Tool: This tool is available in Windows
7 and Vista.
-To find this tool, Click Start>All Programs>Accessories>Snipping Tool.
Or
Click Start and write Snipping Tool in Search Box. You’ll find the Snipping Tool.
-Now choose the kind of screen shot you want to take. “Free-form Snip”, “Rectangular Snip”, “Window Snip” or “Full-screen Snip”.
-Now select the area you want to take screen shot of.
-Just after selecting the area, a Window will open displaying the image of area you selected. Now save the image.
